TPCS contains a number of TPM related subsystems, which includes the Project Communication Database (PCD), CPM networks, Project Images Database (PID), and other documents. The TPCS operates under Microsoft Windows Operating environment running on personal computers linked through a local area network.

The following figure outlines the basic configuration of TPCS concept. The system give the TPM project management staff immediate access to modules containing contract administration, schedule, cost, financial, and narrative reporting/presentations data on any project. Subsystem information and specific data can be integrated to provide special reports as required.
